A slack yet effervescent spring-summer fragrance, POOL BOY does what it says on the label and a little bit extra. Smells great on skin, shines in hot weather and is reportedly a unique concept and fragrance, combining fruity and floral elements with tea, woods, tobacco and animalic musk. Some describe it as a long-lasting freshie, but there’s a lot more than freshness going on.

Notes include lemon iced tea, guava, passion fruit, hyssop, lavender, iris, rose, cedar, tobacco, vetiver, treemoss and some primal musk. Pool Boy was the first of what will become semi-regular limited or “small batch” releases that may or may not be regularly available, but also won’t be discontinued unless unavailability of essential materials makes it impossible to make more.

Pool Boy has since proven so popular that it has been added to the main line. Ironically, it relies on a material that is no longer available and may prove difficult to replace - but unless it becomes wildly popular that won’t be an issue for the near future.

Update 9/1 /24 The new double-sized batch referenced in the previous update has now sold out except for samples and much of it sold today after reopening. We were expecting this fairly small batch to last a couple years but demand has been unprecedented this spring/summer, culminating in today's wild ride. Please know, there will be more as soon as we can make it. Please also know: we have many other killer fragrances. POOL BOY is not just some fluke of good luck - although there does seem to be some groovy convergence going on lately. In the meantime, maybe try a Discovery Stash instead, you can wear a generous sample of POOL BOY before buying a bottle and compare it to other CL fragrances that you may actually prefer.

Update 4/24 The current batch is starting to run low, especially after the number of orders before hiatus. Fortunately the new batch of concentrate has been mixed and it’s currently melding and on track to be ready when the current batch runs out. Still, there’s no substitute for age and so far Pool Boy only seems to improve over time.
