An herbal-citrus-incense fragrance that performs like a light floral but with a woody-spicy warmth, a ghostly presence that’s difficult to pin down and strangely addictive, haunting even. Like a new wood floor in a creaky old mansion, HAUNTED represents the hope of new beginnings for even the most doomed among us. Similar to Silver and Oaxaca, this has a natural floral heart but doesn’t read as floral.

Notes include marjoram, yuzu, lavender, holy basil, violet leaf, rose, tuberose, blond woods, hay, ylang ylang, orris, frankincense, amber, sandalwood, myrrh, tonka and white musks.

Note 1/13 Everything worked out with the frankincense and the new batch has been available for a few weeks. It’s excellent but still young and should come together and gain more richness with age, same as the last batch did after 4-6 months. Going forward the goal is to get far enough ahead with inventory that all batches will be aged a minimum of 4 months before release and to have all main line fragrances continuously available. That’s not 100% realistic, but it’s a goal.

Note 11/10 There’s a snafu with the frankincense, which was a tincture of green sacra resin, the best frankincense material we’ve ever used. Unfortunately, the original supplier took a two-week psychedelic retreat back in June and hasn’t returned and the new material is weak. Currently awaiting orders from two other suppliers, one a bulk supplier in Oman, both highly recommended. Not looking good for it being available again before January, even if one of these has the good stuff.

Note 10/30 This has been surprisingly popular for a new release and is now unfortunately unavailable even to sample. The new batch is mostly complete and will probably be a little different in the topnotes because of different qualities of the yuzu and marjoram oils, and should have a bit more presence in the drydown. Samples will probably be available in late November and bottles in early December as this isn’t one that takes long to age.
